(Cassette tape is inserted into a tape recorder)
(Recorder clicks on)
D
Alright. (Clears throat) We are now recording.
Mark
But why?
D
This is our first official production meeting, obviously.
Cole
And?
D
And? A-And what? What are you 'and' -ing?
Cole
Wait - what - what am I 'and' -ing?
D
And, a-and what, y-you want to take notes? Or, maybe we just record the meeting so we can just reference the tape if we ever need to recall something from the meeting, y'know.
Cole
I - uh, okay, duly noted.
D
Okay. So, this is our first official production meeting.
Mark
I guess what I'm having a hard time with is the 'why' of it. Why are we having a production meeting?
Cole
Yeah - I-I'll be honest, D, I too am having a hard time figuring out why we are having a production meeting as well.
D
What, you think we make a podcast, just slap it on the grill, and we're done?
Cole
Uh... weird analogy, but... yeah?
Mark
(Simultaneously) I mean, yeah.
D
No, Cole, you don't - y- it isn't that simple!
Cole
Okay, yeah, that seems like one of those situations that actually is that simple if we let it be that simple, since it is kind of up to us to say? 'Yeah, it is that simple,' y'know?
D
What on Earth are you even saying! Are you listening to yourself?!
Mark
Yeah, I'll be honest, mate, I lost you on that one.
D
For someone who is so 'Type A' when it comes to like, the entire process, it blows my mind that you have the hardest time paying attention when it comes to the housekeeping.
Cole
Okay, listen, this house is completely swept.
D
Okay, b-beside the fact - thi-this is a shed, not a house, and this shed has 100% never been swept - b-beside that fact... you guys are causing me some, like, serious anxiety here.
Mark
Oh, don't say that, D. You know that we are your rainbow on a cloudy day.
Cole
A warm wind beneath your wings.
D
(Under her breath, overlapping) Oh my god.
Mark
The sprinkles on your cake.
D
(Under her breath, overlapping) Oh... guys...
I'm seriously freaking out here. I just can't do this. I can't do this.
Mark
W-Why, though? Everything is completely fine!
D
No! There is like some serious production, and like, admin level stuff we've never discussed before, like, jus- we just plunged into the deep end.
Cole
Okay, okay, okay, D. Like what?
D
Well, for starters? A release schedule.
Cole
A release schedule.
Mark
A schedule... by which we release.
Cole
A schedule to be followed... for, the subsequent distribution... of the podcast.
D
(Under her breath) I'm gonna kill you both.
Yes, a release schedule.
Mark
Do we need a release schedule?
D
We do.
Cole
But - but do we?
D
We do.
Mark
I mean we could not have, a release, schedule?
D
Or we could just figure out a release schedule before I throw you both through the wall headfirst. We-we-we ask the audience to rate and review - we have to be consistent on our end. Internet says consistency is key. So, consistency. Is. Key. So we are going to be consistent, and we're gonna like it.
(Clothing rustles)
Mark
O, captain, my captain!
(Clothing rustles)
Cole
O, captain, my captain.
D
Darn right! Okay. So, so... what kinda release schedule do we want?
Cole
Release them as they are finished?
(Pause)
D
Okay, okay, cool idea, I was thinking more like, weekly releases.
Mark
Weekly?? What is this, a job??
D
Mm- It could be one day, so, let's treat it like that.
(Phone buzzes)
(Clothing rustles)
Mark
Well then! Who was that, Captain Popularity?
D
N-Nothing. It was nothing.
Mark
You... could have taken the call.
D
Just get a move on here and pick a release schedule.
Cole
'Twas it the lady Jesse, calling upon her gallant knight?
Mark
Hoh ho!
D
Really? Ugh...
Cole
No, no! This is what you get for having a new girlfriend, you get the ribbing.
(Mark laughs)
Cole (Cont.)
We all get the ribbing, you don't get a pass on this one.
Mark
Seconded.
D
Ugh! And yes, yes, it was Jesse - we're supposed to be meeting up right now, but you two were late.
Mark
Oh? And what are you and Beau doing on this fine day?
D
(Sigh) Well, mm... if you must know, we're... going to pick apples.
Cole
Oh my god, I'm not going to lie, that is adorable...
Mark
Oh my goodness, is it ever? (Sigh) It's all I can do not to pinch your cheeks right now, D.
D
(Sigh) Come on guys. Release schedule!
(D claps twice)
D (Cont.)
Hurry it up here.
Cole
Okay, okay... uh, I vote, um, episode drops.
D
Episode drops?
Cole
I mean - uh, we released the first, what, seven episodes altogether? Uh, why don't we just do consistently inconsistent episode drops. And announce them like, uh, like mini-seasons.
D
That sounds completely antithetical to what I wanted out of this meeting.
Mark
And yet... I like the sound of it.
D
You two are the worst.
Cole
I mean... if we are consistently inconsistent, is that not still consistency?
Mark
I see your logic... I love it.
D
(Under her breath) Jesus Christ.
Okay then. Better than nothing. It's fine. So, the question is, when do we drop the next batch of episodes?
Cole
Uhhh.. when they're done, I guess?
D
Noooo nononononono, you're picking a date. And you're picking a date right now.
Cole
Uhhh..
Mark
Um...
Okay, how about... December 25th. Y- Like, Christmas.
D
Wh- Hell no, that's way too far away!
Cole
Aagghhh.. ohhh no, I have decision paralysis, agh - um, uhhh...
D
Alright. A-Alright, look at me. I'm the boss right now, and I say October 10th.
Cole
(Coughs) How about October 11th?
Mark
I'll raise you: I say October 12th.
D
O-October 12th?
Cole
October 12th.
Mark
I like October 12th, and I've got a good feeling about it. *
D
Alright, October 12th, final answer.
Mark
Lock it in!
(Recorder clicks off)
* Transcriber's Note: On October 12, 2022, an ARG for another podcast called The Magnus Archives was in full swing. Due to some suspicious tweets and a code found in the Episode Description from TT009, TT010, and TT011, fans have speculated that choosing this day to release episodes was not a coincidence. As of November 11th, 2022, the connection between Tiny Terrors and The Magnus Archives is purely fan speculation.
